Haskell Anderson is a recipient of the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in the world premier production of Rounds by Sean Michael Rice. Film and television credits include guest roles in The West Wing, The Practice, Girlfriends, LA Heat, Suddenly Susan, NYPD Blue, Alien Nation, A Civil Action, Life and Kick Boxer.  Haskell is an active member of the award winning and critically acclaimed Pacific Resident Theatre located in Venice, California.

 

Sister Mary Bendyna, RSM is the executive director of the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown University. She has led numerous studies on religious life, ministry, and faith formation, and has also continued her studies of the political attitudes and behaviors of American Catholics, which was the subject of her doctoral  dissertation. In addition to her research and director responsibilities at CARA, she also serves as a chaplain in residence at Georgetown University.

 

Archbishop John Foley (via video) heads the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.

 

Michael Jones serves in the communications office for Pax Christi USA.  He has an MA in Journalism and Communications from Syracuse, was a staffer with the late-Senator Paul Wellstone, and coordinates Pax Christi USA communications work, especially media.

 

Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas is chair of the U.S. Bishops Communications Committee. He is the Bishop of Tucson.

 

Ilan Ziv was born in Israel in 1950 and came to the United States after fighting in the Yom Kippur (The October) War in 1973. A graduate of New York University film school, in 1978 he co-produced New York's first Middle East Film Festival. That same year he founded Icarus Films. Since then he has directed dozens of documentaries dealing broadly with issues of human rights, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and investigations of contemporary history.  His films include The Junction, Human Weapon, a film on the history of suicide bombing, On the Edge of Peace (1995); Tango of Slaves (1994); and The Hundred Years' War: Personal Notes (1983). The Junction, his latest film, is the recent recipient of the Best Documentary Award at Israel's Haifa International Film Festival.
